Top Ten Tuesday: Fictional Crushes

This week's Top Ten Tuesday over at The Broke and the Bookish is Top Ten Fictional Crushes! Can I actually come up with ten??

1. Jamie Fraser from the Outlander series! Of course he's my number one, because this is the best book series ever. Jamie's manly, witty, and fiercely protective of the ones he loves, and he's 110% loyal to Claire.

2. Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice - handsome in that rude, arrogant way, but a sweetheart deep down.

3. Ron Weasley from Harry Potter - I know, he's Harry's less coordinated, less cool friend. But he's sweet, likes smart girls (Hermione) and he made me giggle all the way throughout the series.

4. Cal from Bet Me - Another guy that seems like a jerk but is actually a big softie inside. Plus he falls in love with Min and makes her feel sexy, which made girls bigger than a size 10 everywhere happy :o)

5. Peeta from the Hunger Games series. He liked Katniss for so long, and he was so sweet to her, even when she didn't deserve it.

6. Anatole from The Poisonwood Bible - Sweet, and politically active in trying to help his country. And he's scarred, so when I read this book, I always picture him as the singer Seal in my head. Different kind of scars, I know, but that's what I come up with.

7. Westley from The Princess Bride - goes off to make money so him and Buttercup can have a good life, ends up a pirate with crazy good sword skills and witty comebacks, and rescues his true love. What's not to like?

8. Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights - I really like Heathcliff's crazy ass. Yes, he's supposed to be a bad guy, but seriously - all those people kinda had it coming. I don't blame him for being screwed over and over, and then taking extremely exacting revenge on them all. In fact, that kind of psycho-ness has a slight appeal. And he never stops loving Catherine. Who knows why, cause she sucked, but still.

9. Lord John Grey from the Outlander series - Yeah, I know he's gay. But he's honorable, articulate, and I always like when he shows up throughout the series. Although after An Echo in the Bone, that may change... we'll see what book # 8 brings.

10. Roran in the Eragon series. He's the more tough, manly version of Eragon. His nickname is Stronghammer, if that tells you anything! And, he really loves his girl. I dig faithfulness in guys.

Whew! That list was harder to come up with than I thought...
